Cardiovascular Hospitalist
Preeminent 31-physician full service cardiology group seeking a board certified, cardiologist to serve in the role as a full-time Hospitalist for the Grand Rapids Michigan locations. Attractive salary and an even more attractive schedule of Monday-Friday, 8am until 6pm plus a full benefit package including relocation allowance and generous vacation/CME package. No weeknight or weekend call required. This is a Hospital based position working with cardiology nurses, PA’s, and other physicians to manage patients on the general cardiology floors as well as in critical care.
Group is looking to expand its physician coverage due to increased demand. An exceptional opportunity to work in a growth area with excellent physicians offering a wide range of cardiovascular services including: consultative cardiology, coronary and peripheral vascular intervention, electrophysiology, advanced imaging, and CHF. Physicians are encouraged to participate in clinical research trials supported by our research nurses. The group owns and operates 5 cardiac and non-invasive vascular ancillary testing centers within the practice.

Responsibilities include: Running patients, vitals, preparing charts, placing holter monitors, and chart review. Qualifications: Must be a certified Medical Assistant or LPN, 2-years of directly related health care experience, applied EMR skill-set and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Candidate must be a graduate of accredited school of nursing (diploma or associates degree). Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. 3-5 years prior clinical experience in cardiology practice office setting or cardiovascular nursing (critical care, intensive care, cardiac rehab, cardiac cath lab, emergency room or equivalent hospital experience) required.
Specific RN positions available:
Patient Triage: Contact with patients, providers and other members of the team (primarily by phone) to assure appropriate patient education and follow up is carried out. Ideal candidate with have strong assessment and critical thinking skills, ability to multi task and adjust priorities.
Testing Center: Direct care of patients during cardiac testing procedures. Includes on going patient assessment, IV starts, and medication administration. Ideal candidate enjoys direct patient contact in a fast paced environment, has strong assessment and critical thinking skills plus strong EKG interpretation skills
Full and part time positions are available, as well as positions in our resource pool, allowing maximum flexibility in scheduling.
The EP RN provides care coordination, education, and triage for EP patients. This is a specialized RN role requiring knowledge of general cardiology as well as electrophysiology, ablation and device procedures. This position will primarily be based in the office assisting the EP physician with, cath lab pre/post procedure orders, and office evaluation and management of patients.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE & Skills: Two years prior clinical experience in cardiology practice office setting or cardiovascular nursing (critical care, intensive care, cardiac rehab, cardiac cath lab, emergency room or equivalent hospital experience) required. Knowledge of telemetry, pacemakers, implantable cardiac defibrillators, electrophysiological procedures, administering stress tests, holter and event monitoring, and preparing for, administering, and reading echocardiograms (EKG’s) required. Excellent time management, organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills, telephone etiquette, and written and verbal communication skills required. Prior computer experience required.
LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS: State of Michigan Registered Nurse Licensure required. Basic cardiopulmonary life support (BCLS) certification required; advanced cardiopulmonary life support (ACLS) certification required within one year of hire. Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
We are accepting transfer request for the open full-time (1.0) position. Responsibilities of this position include: Check-in, greet and register patients in practice management, verify demographics, update insurance information, notify patients arrival to departments, confirmation calls, problem resolution, and authorization backup. Check-out, Check out patients, establish appointments, billing and obtaining authorization if needed for testing. We are looking for a cross-functional candidate.
Qualified candidates will possess working knowledge of EMR System, excellent customer service skills, previous related physician office experience.
